Shelter From the Storm
Cleveland Memorial Forest

This project introduces a systematic approach to building construction and tectonics. Specifically it responds to the dimensions and scale of human activities, spatial organization, and hierarchy of spaces. Providing shelter from bad weather, the structure consists of rather simple programs of table/bench unit, sleeping bunks, storage, and food preparation surfaces. The project focuses on how the structure responds to the site, along with the use of traditional timber construction methods, and the clarity of the structural hierarchy.
